Their products are optimized for the benefit of their partners. They create a multi-trillion dollar support/management burden which functions as a stimulus package for their partner ecosystem of consultants and IT pros. In turn, their partners are directly responsible for 95% of Microsoft’s commercial revenue. A simple case of you scratch my back, I scratch yours.
